Lanvin's Arpege perfume, the name of Arpege perfume comes from the musical term "arpeggio". Lanvin launched this fragrance in 1927. Its composition begins with iris, honeysuckle, peach, aldehydes, bergamot and orange blossom. The core brings out the delicate botanical notes of geranium, violet, tuberose, coriander, ylang-ylang, jasmine and rose. The base contains musk, vanilla, patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood.

Lavin was originally founded as a fashion company and joined the garment guild in 1909. The brand quickly became known for its fashionable clothing. The company was especially famous for making matching ensembles for mothers and daughters. Over the decades, the brand has expanded into lingerie, upholstery and fragrance.

André Fresset and Paul Vachet are the perfumers who created the Arpege perfumes. The painting on the bottle was designed by Alber Elbaz. He wanted the bottle to represent the character of the company before it expanded. His daughter and mother stand side by side in the photo.
