The Italian cosmetics company behind this fragrance is Borghese. The company was founded in 1958 by Princess Marcella Borghese. This Italian princess she married Duke Bomarzo in 1942, and the aristocrats were looking for their own cosmetics and fragrances. The family developed lipsticks and skin creams using original secret recipes made from natural ingredients and fruits. In 1956, the princess met Revlon founder Charles Revson and helped establish a formal retail cosmetics line.
