Launched in 1983, it was the company's first fragrance dedicated to Dali's late wife Gala. This fragrance contains top notes of spicy incense, bergamot and clove. Followed by heart notes of powdery rose, jasmine and mimosa. Finally, the warmth of sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss and musk rounds out the scent.

Salvador Dali is the eponymous fragrance line by the famous Surrealist painter Salvador Dali. He got the idea to create the fragrance when he painted a perfume bottle based on the nose and lips of the painting, after completing his painting The Appearance of Aphrodite of Cnidus. He released his first fragrance in 1983 in memory of his late wife Gala. To him it was her best way to immortalize her. It is said that before his death he chose the scent together.
