The Vanderbilt name is easily recognizable among fashion lovers, and this fragrance has helped cement the brand's luxurious and timeless image in the hearts of fragrance lovers. This Oriental Her Floral Perfume is a light, fresh and warm scent profile that combines floral, woody, warm, spicy and sweet harmonies. The opening notes combine aldehydes with bergamot, green notes, neroli and pineapple. Then the Floral Her Heart of Rose, Ylang Ylang, Tuberose, Orange Her Blossom, Jasmine Her Heart blooms. Base notes are mixed with civet, musk, opoponax, sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla and cinnamon. Belarusian-born perfumer Sophia Grojusman, a veteran perfumer who has worked with Yves Saint Laurent, Perry Ellis and Calvin Klein, created this fragrance in 1982. The latter had adopted her own line of scarves before her famous designer launched her jeans in the 1970s. In 1982 she turned to fragrance and her label released a total of 16 fragrances created by luminaries such as Christine Nagel, Francis Herre Courquedijean and Olivier Herre Pecheux.
